Warning a top heavy picture post!
So 9th - 11th saw the 5th retreat hosted by Lovin' Ink at Beamsley, Skipton and wow what a weekend.

Folks have been kept very busy all weekend with the canvas packs provided and 3 workshop led canvas with another 3 to create in the time that was free.
Techniques galore on creating texture both with products on the market and things you could find at home.

Concentration was high this weekend - amongst all the chatter and laughter were times of quiet as folks worked on their inspired ideas.

Lots of shared expertise as there was certainly tons of it in the room!

Here is a few creations.

The talented Neil Walker joined us with his gorgeously talented wife Susan and shared his love of distress inks and colour with us all.

So here are our wonderful retreaters showing some of their efforts from the weekend.

The lovely Pam with a canvas inspired by Michelle.

Emma with her main workshop canvas

and Anne who thought canvas was not her thing!

Look at this from Sandra who didn't much like paint before she began!

The lovely Suzanne who had this gorgeous frame in her stash - we were all very envious!

This is Neils workshop creation - lots of fabulous techniques using distress stains - Lush colours!

The wonderful Liz who literally crafted all night as she was so inspired! A little of Neils influence here........

And this is a new face to the retreats all the way from Perth Scotland - the talented Irene

The gorgeous Mrs Walker aka Susan who created the most beautiful shabby chic canvas - inspired by Michelles workshop

and Neil with his version of the Friday night project - mini canvas with techniques for texture. I hope Neil shares this on his blog soon with the additions he has planned! Romance was in the air for the Walkers as they celebrated 22 years of marriage on the 10th March!

Proof of the inky fingers - these mucky pup hands belong to Linda!

and Liz

then Neil and Liz!

Look at this beauty. Inspired by Michelle's and then created a gorgeous original is the very talented Siobhan xx

Lindas gorgeous pieces on the right her canvas from Michelles workshop and on the left from Neils.

Canvas so wasn't Beryls thing but she really enjoyed the mini canvas with Neil.

and the lovely Val loved doing this one - I love that gorgeous stamp!

Vikki beavered away filling all of her canvas with colour. The 2 she is holding were ones she played with in the free time sessions - the one Emma is holding above her head is the one she made in Michelles workshop - beautiful lemon colour for her Bedroom.
Vikki was also the baker for the weekend - she has a lovely light touch in her cakes we were treated to some delicious yummies. Needless to say not a crumb was left over!

Another new face from Perth is Cathy - here she is with her 2 very different canvases from the workshops.
So missing here is the wonderful Margaret who was not well today so missed the photo shoot and Michelle and I which I forgot to take pics of. Tut tut!
Thanks for a wonderful weekend to you all - you embraced the techniques and played with your own ideas, shared your talents and your wonderful company. We loved spending time with you all.
Till next time xx
Janet and Michelle
